MY REVIEW

"Everything is changing. Everyone is changing. Everyone but me."

Lets see, this has romance in it, quirky banter, a whole lot of unexpected sweetness and intense innuendos plus it also comes with humor? Get out!

There were a lot of parts where I giggled, laughed out loud and chuckled. This book was a complete delight. I love it. I can't help but feel like I lucked out on this one. I am so happy I got the book. It wasn't the best but it was definitely worth reading. To be honest, I have not read the other books in this series but I got absolutely hooked in this one!

Also, could this book pass as chick lit? I think it does because the POV is only the heroine's and it has that absolute relief at the end. No major conflict but multiple confusions towards the heroine's feelings and personal issues were everywhere!

Fiona did earned her nickname Feisty because is really fiesty. Give her a Cookie shaped man and she'll bite the head off first. She's a little insecure as she felt left out because everyone is going forward with their lives. And man that must suck! This is literally every single friend feels in a group out there. I love it when a woman thinks with her head and not with her heart first. How she came about with Chris is definitely how I would have done things as well, realistically speaking. And Jesus Christ! I forgot how regular heros are! They are absolutely everything. Not much money, not famous, just a regular man who owns a gym and is doing regular things. A regular man who also happens to be a down to earth and is looking for someone that genuinely interests him. And did I forget to mention he was hilarious and very much equipped with a lot of innuendos? Actually you know what, let me take that back. FLETCH is annoying in the beginning towards the middle and he was also so sweet which was almost cheesy!

I also love how the friendship here just shows. its not all about romantic feelings for a partner but also an obvious admiration and love for friends, best friends. The only thing that didn't sit well with me was how they went from obvious hating to all loved up like they are desperate for love.

Book Overview

I’m not to proud to admit that finding Mr. Right involves swiping right. Right? Welcome to dating in avocado toastland.

Here I am, on my first blind date, ever, courtesy of a smartphone app and my two annoying best friends.

So what is Chris “Fletch” Fletcher doing, walking across the room, looking at his phone like he’s pattern matching a picture to find a real person he’s never met before?

Oh.

Oh, no.

The guy I drop-kicked in seventh grade cannot be my blind date. The guy who earned me this infernal nickname.

That’s right.

Feisty.

It was bad enough that last month all my old kickboxing training came in handy when a disgruntled noncustodial dad invaded my preschool class and tried to take one of my kids without permission.

That ended with news coverage of the closed-circuit video that parents saw in real time as I beat him up and pinned his neck to the ground while waiting for police to respond.

We won’t mention the part where I thrust my arm into the air in a power stance and, uh…

Roared.

Hey. HEY! Don’t judge me. I protected those kids. And the kid most in danger was Fletch’s nephew.

The same Fletch who just now noticed me sitting here.

Being noticed is bad.

Being his dating app match is even worse.

Why?

Because no matter how hard I’ve tried to avoid him since high school, every time I see him I have the same reaction.

I wish I’d never kicked him.

I wish, instead, that I’d let him kiss me.

Which it looks like he’s trying to do.

Right now.
