Book Overview

Neglected, abandoned by a heroin-addicted mother, and placed in foster care at ten, Enzo Jordan has learned one thing…love hurts. At thirty-five, he has a successful tattoo shop and his choice of women. The one-night stands are getting old, and the love he holds for his best friend, Aibhlinn is impossible to hide. When the attraction between them reaches a boiling point, he's forced to choose between facing his fears and walking away.

Aibhlinn Leahy has been in love with her best friend for years. The Irish-born comic book artist has poured time, energy, and love into the wounded man. His choice to walk away breaks her heart but frees her to explore a new future.

Life is a cruel and amazing thing. An abandoned baby brings the two back together, and they’re forced to examine the love that has long existed between them. This is a story of pain, scars, and fear. We all have demons to battle. The real decision is who's in control…us or them?

My Review

*ARC Provided for an Honest Review*

I can't help but feel like I have read this book before. I think I might really have read it before but I just did not put up a review about it. This book talked about troubled past, clubs, and IRA's. I was anxious while I was reading the book because it felt like both characters are holding back. Aibhlinn, which is a really cool name by the way, was just waiting on Enzo and they are now 34 years old which is kind of a long time to wait on but very understandable for the female but for Enzo, him holding back kind of pissed me off at the same time confused with where his mind really is.

The cuteness and well, the anticipation of the characters to finally be together got me through. Just when I thought of skipping an angel was put on the spotlight and from there on everything even out for the characters and it has pushed them to finally see what they have before they actually lose it. I enjoyed the book for the most part. There were some parts that were annoying but all in all it entertained me. The author is not new to me and I'm happy that once again she satisfied me with her work.
